The technology covered by the UHD Software patents include optical disc drive products that are capable of playing back UHD Discs. All patents deemed essential for UHD-Playback Software and UHD-Combination Software are included in the UHD Software licensing program.
One‐Blue grants a UHD Software License Agreement under the following patents (click below). Please note these are the current patent lists available at the time of publication; lists are renewed on a regular basis. Lists contain both technically and commercially essential patents.
Patent list is not exhaustive at this time. One-Blue will be continually updating the list as licensors provide their patents.
UHD Playback SoftwareOne-Blue offers agreements to manufacturers of UHD Software that specify the terms and conditions under which manufacturers use certain essential patents for UHD Software.

One-Blue offers worldwide non-transferable, non-assignable, non-exclusive licenses, with no right to sublicense, under the US Patents and Non-US Patents respectively.
The royalty rates for licenses differ according to the product categories indicated below.

The rates of the product license program offer a considerable discount on cumulative royalties that otherwise would have to be paid for the individual format licenses.
We have established what we believe to be a reasonable royalty for the technologies offered both from a licensor and licensee perspective, taken into account the market and prices for UHD products and the superior customer experience of these technologies.

1. All royalty rates apply per unit of licensed.
