VidaBox LLC Joins the One-Blue Licensing Program for Blu-ray Disc™
NEW YORK, September 9, 2013 — One-Blue, LLC today announced that VidaBox LLC of Garden City Park, New York has joined the One-Blue Blu-ray Disc™ (BD) product licensing program as a licensee. VidaBox signed the License Agreement for BD-PC that grants the company access to important patents essential to the Blu-ray Disc™ standard from leading licensors.
“VidaBox is an important addition to the One-Blue licensing program,” said William J. Lenihan, Director of IP Licensing of One-Blue. “The market for Blu-ray enabled home media / entertainment servers is expanding and One-Blue can provide the necessary Blu-ray specific product licenses to those manufacturers looking to address this segment.”
One-Blue administers the licensing program for patents essential to Blu-ray Disc™ products and is the joint licensing agent of its licensors. For hardware and software products, the product license covers Blu-ray Disc™, DVD and CD essential patents; for disc products, the product license covers Blu-ray Disc™ essential patents.
