Licensors

After the call for patents made by One-Blue in October 2009, more than 15 essential patent holders have been participating in discussions about the launch of the licensing program.

The current licensors are:

Any holder of patents essential to optical formats used in Blu-ray Disc™ products is invited to join the program as a licensor. Entities who believe they have patents that are essential to the implementation of the Blu-ray Disc™ Standard, DVD Standards and/or CD Standards can submit these to selected patent evaluation law firms.

Licensors who contribute eligible patents on or before December 31, 2011 will receive a more favorable share of past-use royalties collected on their essential patents, subject to program terms and conditions.
