BD Aftermarket Drive Bundled Software

One-Blue offers a license agreement to manufacturers of Aftermarket BD Drives which are shipped and sold as a stand-alone product separate from a PC, which agreement specifies under what terms and conditions manufacturers may use certain essential patents for BD-PC Software bundled with the Aftermarket BD Drive. The license agreement covers patents for BD Playback Software, BD Combination Software and BD Recorder Software. The Aftermarket BD Drive per se is not licensed under this license agreement and must be separately covered by a Per-Batch License issued pursuant to a BD Drive Registration Agreement.

One‐Blue grants a BD Aftermarket Drive Bundled with BD Software License Agreement under the following patents (click below). Please note these are the current patent lists available at the time of publication; lists are renewed on a regular basis. Lists contain both technically and commercially essential patents.

One-Blue offers worldwide non-transferable, non-assignable, non-exclusive licenses, with no right to sublicense, under the US Patents and Non-US Patents respectively.

The royalty rates for licenses differ according to the product categories indicated below.

Royalty Report Form - Royalty Reporting will be processed through our Designated Internet Service Portal (DISP). Provided you are registered with the One-Blue licensing program and have the required authorizations, you will be able to report using the DISP.  Please click here for more information.

The rates of the product license program offer a considerable discount on cumulative royalties that otherwise would have to be paid for the individual format licenses. These discounts are at least 40% on the cumulative royalty rates.

We have established what we believe to be a reasonable royalty for the technologies offered both from a licensor and licensee perspective, taken into account the market and prices for BD products and the superior customer experience of these technologies.
